Inspiring content ideas to create a strong relationship with your (future) yoga students

May 16, 2023 | Business & Mindset

As a yoga teacher specializing in women’s health, it is important not only to have a deep understanding of the issues that women may encounter as well as the adapted practice of yoga, but also to have the ability to communicate effectively and connect with your students. Storytelling is a personal touch that you can bring in your classes but also in your communication with your students and future students.

Here are some tips on how to use storytelling to develop the relationship with your (future) students and your communication

Develop the history of your personal brand

The story of your personal brand can be, for example, the story of your journey to becoming a yoga teacher specializing in women’s health. This is what makes you unique. Think about what led you to yoga adapted to women’s health and why you are passionate about the idea of helping women improve their health. Use this story to connect with your community and build trust.

Use narration in your marketing materials

Embed your story on your website, profile and social media posts. Share your story and passion for helping women through yoga to create an emotional bond with those women who need you.

Share your successes

Share the stories and transformations of your students. Whether it is a student who has alleviated her menstrual pain or better managed the arrival of her period thanks to yoga or a woman who has found more calming and serenity in the face of her fertility or an PMA course, these sharings can inspire other people to contact you and try your classes.

Create a link with your students

In your classes or posts on social networks, you can use more personal stories and shares to establish a link with your students and strengthen a sense of belonging with the group in your classes. Share personal anecdotes or stories from your own experience and related to the theme of your course. It can also help students feel more comfortable and feel less alone in the face of what they are experiencing.

Practical exercise to create personal and inspiring content

The answers to these questions should highlight some themes and areas of interest with which you resonate.

This can inspire you to write messages, social media posts… with which (future) students can identify with you and what you propose, get to know you better, and strengthen your ties with them.

– Why did you turn to yoga?

– What were you looking for?

– How did yoga help you?

– What did yoga bring you?

– What problems has yoga managed better for you?

– What is your favorite posture to help you?

– …

You can then think:

– to the people you want to help

– how you can help them

– and the reasons why you want to support and accompany them.

Take a pen and a notepad and try to answer in the most honest and sincere way possible by connecting to your heart.

In conclusion, storytelling and personal sharing related to your yoga teacher activity can help you create inspiring and engaging content when you are no longer sure what to post. By integrating them into your communication, you can also establish a strong and personal link with your community of heart and make it grow by staying who you are as well as make them want to make contact and practice with you.
