Heart & Soul
about
50h yoga teacher training for endometriosis
Unfortunately, you may have already seen or will see a woman with endometriosis at your class or practice.
Pelvic pain, fatigue, emotional rollercoaster, fertility problems, digestive problems, back pain, dyspareunia, bleeding periods,… The list is long for the symptoms of this complex systemic disease.
It is a real public health issue for 1 in 7 women!
Women very often experience :
- debilitating pain
- a too late diagnosis
- a medical wandering
- a loss of their “body” and their life which escapes them
- and even lost hope of having a child naturally…
As a result, they often turn to natural and complementary approaches to relieve their pain, which is just as physical, mental and emotional, and to be an actor in their health.
However, yoga teachers or wellness professionals are not trained, and paramedical professionals are not sufficiently prepared to support women with endometriosis and especially not to do more harm than good.
You have the opportunity to be this caring expert and to differentiate yourself.
Highlights…
-
1 in 10 to 1 in 7 women of menstruating women have endometriosis.
-
On average, it takes 7 to 10 years to make a diagnosis.
-
70% of women suffer from chronic debilitating pain.
-
40% have fertility problems.
-
0 specific treatment for endometriosis (There is currently no curative drug treatment, they only treat the symptoms).
-
14 million women are affected in Europe.
-
180 million women are affected worldwide.
-
This would represent 30 billion euros of sick leave in Europe.
TO GUIDE YOU
Aurélie Maire
Yoga Educator, published Author, certified yogatherapist, specialized in women’s health and endometriosis, Naturopath, Women’s health coach, Biochemist and human nutrition engineer.
Since 2017, I have been supporting women who seek a simple and personalized holistic approach to naturally relieve endometriosis pain and (re)live their lives with endometriosis, no longer dictated by it, by restoring balance in the body, mind, and spirit through the tools of yoga, naturopathy, and Ayurveda.
As a yoga mentor and educator specializing in women’s health, particularly in areas such as endometriosis, menstrual and reproductive health, and mental health, I have trained hundred of yoga teachers and health professionals in supporting women through personalized yoga and holistic therapeutic practices.
I actively share my insights as a lecturer and speaker at schools, universities, conferences, and corporations. I also participate in press interviews and have been a guest on podcasts, where I shed light on the interconnectedness of women’s holistic health, scientific research, and the practice of yoga.
I am a published author, with my first book on endometriosis released in French in 2022, and my second book on yogatherapy and menstrual health in the final stages of writing.
My teaching harmoniously blends Western knowledge of the body and mind (including science, biochemistry, and neuroscience) with the traditional disciplines of yoga, yoga therapy, mindfulness, and holistic lifestyle practices.
Compassion, empathy, humility, and a personalized holistic approach are the principles that guide me throughout this journey.
Endo Yoga Flow
Curriculum
This training will address how the application of lifestyle modifications, meditation and different facets of yoga and the view of ayurveda can be used as complementary tools to support women with endometriosis in their daily lives in a holistic way.
I have put into this program everything I know that has worked for me and other women. I also drew on the latest scientific research while honoring the ancient practices we practice, such as yoga.
Part 1 : Understand modern science and yogic perspective on endometriosis
Gain in-depth knowledge and skills at the intersection of endometriosis in 2024, yoga, and yoga therapy.
Module 1 – Module 1 – UNDERSTANDING ENDOMETRIOSIS AND ADENOMYOSIS through the lens of modern science
Understand endometriosis and adenomyosis in light of 2024 knowledge: anatomy and physiology, the menstrual cycle, various symptoms and complex mechanisms associated with this condition, as well as the proposed and available treatments.
Be aware of the latest figures and scientific data at the intersection of endometriosis, integrative, holistic, and natural approaches, as well as recent initiatives in France and internationally regarding endometriosis.
Module 2 – THE ART, SCIENCE AND PHILOSOPHY OF YOGA AND YOGATHERAPY FOR ENDOMETRIOSIS
Explore the philosophy and approach of yoga applied to endometriosis: traditional yoga texts, the different subtle bodies, vital winds, and energy centers, as well as the Ayurvedic perspective.
Understand how to bridge these concepts and their practical application in the context of endometriosis, while examining the advantages and limitations of yoga based on the monthly rhythm in the context of endometriosis.
Also, comprehend the various tools of yoga (asanas, breathing, visualization, meditation, sankalpa, mudra, mantra…) adapted and specific to endometriosis and adenomyosis.
This module will also address the intention of yoga classes, as well as individual yoga therapy sessions in EndoYoga.
Part 2 : adapted YOGATHERAPY PRACTICES for endometriosis
Module 3 - adapted YOGA AND YOGATHERAPY practices for endometriosis

Gain insight into asanas, breathing techniques, meditation, visualization, relaxation, mudras, sankalpas, mantras, and sankalpas, with a deep understanding of their intention and variations in EndoYoga.
Receive detailed explanations of the intention behind each practice, postures, and their variations for an informed, adapted, and personalized implementation, addressing the specific needs of women with endometriosis (SOS yoga tools for crisis periods, during menstruation, outside menstruations, to regulate the systems…).
Module 4 – practice YOGA AND YOGATHERAPY practices for endometriosis
Explore and immerse yourself in the practical experience of yoga tools specifically tailored for endometriosis and adenomyosis.
These practices are designed and adapted to offer holistic support to the student as well as the systems involved in endometriosis, considering the physical, mental, and emotional aspects.
More specifically, they help students cope with their symptoms (menstrual, pelvic, digestive pains, fatigue, post-operative recovery, etc.) but also to open up a positive perspective and explore possibilities in the daily journey with endometriosis.
Part 3 – TEACHING ENDOYOGA AND YOGA THERAPY FOR ENDOMETRIOSIS
Module 5 – PEDAGOGY AND POINTS OF ATTENTION
Learn how to establish a professional relationship based on trust and kindness, inspiring students to practice yoga safely adapted to their needs, by providing valuable resources to support them in their daily lives with endometriosis.

Understand the skills, attitudes, your role, and your limitations in the context of endometriosis, whether in group classes, workshops, or individual sessions.
Module 6 – ethics and role of the yoga teacher
Module 8 – TEACHING YOGA therapy FOR ENDOMETRIOSIS IN 1:1
Understand the essential elements to consider during private sessions.
Learn the different stages to inquire, evaluate, design, and guide personalized yogatherapy practices, tailored to the specific needs and condition of the student, whether for menstrual or chronic pain, neuropathic pain, ongoing treatments, or post-surgery situations, etc.
You will develop the confidence, competence, and kindness necessary to effectively respond to any new student and situation that arises.
Module 9 – TEACHING YOGA FOR ENDOMETRIOSIS IN GROUPS OR WORKSHOPS

Explore different techniques for adapting practices to the needs of students while maintaining group dynamics and promoting individual and collective well-being.
Module 10 – real-situation case studies
It’s time to put into practice your teaching skills of EndoYoga, yoga therapy for women with endometriosis and/or adenomyosis.
This is an opportunity to apply your knowledge in real-life situations with students, benefiting from supervision, tutoring, and a space for exchanges, sharing, and questions.
You will receive all the necessary explanations to prepare and carry out your 3 practical case studies. You will share your experience on the last day of training, designed more as an enriching exchange for everyone. You will submit 3 summary sheets on your practical case studies, as well as a collective course plan.
Module 11 – PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION)
Here, I share with you my 20 years of experience in entrepreneurial support, marketing, and communication for hundreds of yoga teachers and teacher training schools, all infused with heart and soul and aligned with a yogic philosophy.
To put your new skills to use for women who need your services, they must be able to find you. Delve into practical and proven practices to attract your first students, grow your yoga “business,” and establish your presence in an authentic manner, consistent with your values, energy, and lifestyle, without necessarily depending solely on social networks.

I'm not sure if I have the energy to commit to a yoga teacher training.
We understand that endometriosis can cause fatigue and energy levels can fluctuate. Our yoga teacher training program for endometriosis is designed to be flexible and accommodating to your energy levels. You can take the training at your own pace and on your own schedule during the training timeframe. We have decided to offer this session online so that you can follow the Zoom call in the comfort of your home without any additional transport and you are encouraged to make yourself comfortable and respond to your own needs during the call (you can stand, sit, lay down, go to the restrooms… whenever you need). Additionally, the training will equip you with knowledge and skills that can help you manage your energy levels and better manage the symptoms of endometriosis through the therapeutic benefits of yoga.
Will I benefit from the program if I can't attend all the live sessions?
Yes, but of course, the best is to attend the Zoom session live with us. There are replays. You can also ask your questions in the private Facebook group. Please be aware you need to attend a minimum of Zoom sessions incl. the last one.
How many participants are there per session?
The group size is limited (generally around 10 participants, maximum 12) in order to ensure personalized attention and progress during the training, as well as the quality of interactions and the energy created within the group.
I am not a yoga teacher or therapist, can I participate and train?
Please contact Aurélie via the contact form.
